The youth at Froude Avenue Community Centre in NL have been participating in Healthy Together over the last several years as one of our key implementation partners, catering for the 13-18 year age group.
We have just released our 3 new Learning Activity modules; (on Substance Abuse, Self-Esteem and Body Image); All topics specifically with the youth in mind and Froude were ready and willing to pilot those for us!
Along with the new modules they also covered many other activities from the toolkit and show just how easy it is to adapt the activities for the various age groups and ability levels!
Our videographer was on hand to capture them in action during a couple of sessions and help us create our new promotional video showcasing Healthy Together with youth. The youth seemed to love having the camera around and getting the opportunity to be interviewed!
Following the video shoot they had a big celebration to 'premiere' the finished video to the youth and their parents. They had a hot meal, awards like the Grammy's and even did the main room up with the red carpet for the walk
of fame. It was so great, and everyone really enjoyed themselves and thought the
video was wonderful.
